Movement generated in life, a creative strength in you.
Sopro is a safe place to explore yourself through listening and writing.
With group or individual practices, online or in person, what drives Sopro is to provoke movements.
Movements that can be transformative in people’s lives, that can broaden their listening to themselves and others, expand their repertoire of possibilities in life, and unlock their creative action in the world.

In 2018, after moving to London, I discovered Proprioceptive Writing in a casual conversation during a doctor’s appointment.
Few days later, the book written by the founders of the method arrived at my home and after 2 months, I embarked on a 7-day immersion in a place called Anan Cara in Ireland.
It was there, undoubtly impacted by the effect of Proprioceptive Writing on me and the participants of the immersion, that I dared to dream of the possibility of working with this method in the Portuguese, expanding access to this powerful tool that was definitively entering my life.
Since then, I have participated in numerous and ongoing Proprioceptive Writing groups in Europe and the United States, as well as immersions with the founder of the method, Linda T. Metcalf, I have concluding my training as a certified Proprioceptive Writing Instructor.

But what is Proprioceptive Writing?
PW is a powerful and yet delicate method of exploring the mind that uses writing as a tool to slow down our thoughts and, thus, facilitate attentive and reflective contact with this continuous flow of information about ourselves.
Getting in intimate contact with your world of sensations, memories, beliefs, emotions, anxieties, intuitions can be transformative and powering, and it is this movement that we seek at Sopro through the practice of Proprioceptive Writing.
